To raise awareness of VH1’s Do Something Awards, VH1 created its own spoof charity called “Give a Shit.” Highlighting the somewhat controversial nature of the campaign’s title, Brave Dog encouraged “Boldest Campaign” as a category and wrote an entry illuminating the core concept of VH1’s off-beat project: bad language just isn’t as offensive as apathy.
