Assessment of award potential.
If you’re leading the submission charge internally or just looking for additional insight/guidance from an un-biased eye, an assessment is a great way to get started. This is a deliverable that you can leverage with or without our continued help.
12-Month Award Roadmap
First, your team should rally internally to pick your best campaigns/projects and gather any subsequent background materials (ie: briefs, decks, result recaps).
Send Brave Dog the organized assets via WeTransfer, BOX, GDrive, FTP, or preferred method for review.
From there, Brave Dog will review the work & put together a formal estimate for the Assessment.
What’s delivered:
A competition roadmap outlining the next 12 months of competitions, forecasted entry categories, and associated fees (3rd Party Entry + Brave Dog should you like to activate us in a 1-off Competition capacity), as well as competition eligibility, deadlines, competitor benchmarks, assets mandatories, additional requirements/notes, all in a simplified Google Sheet.
Budget: Typically $5K-20K – dependent on number of projects/assets we identify as “award worthy.”
Timeline: Typically 2-4 weeks – dependent on workload above + availability.
Find your story positioning.
For projects and competitions that require heavy lifting and a strong narrative to compete (ie: Cannes, Effies, Clio, etc.) the team will need a strong case study + entry plan to be competitive.
Case Study Consultation + 12-month Award Roadmap:
Multi-week collaborative effort between Brave Dog and your team to discover, identify, and develop key narratives to produce winning award entry submission materials.
What’s delivered:
Competition benchmarking + sample winning case videos
Custom award synopsis/positioning outline + key messaging pillars for overall strategy of award entries.
Recommended case video(s) story beats *for your internal team to copywrite and video edit in-house.
Additional content guidance for case video(s) and entry materials required for submission (ie: presentation board, microsite, write up specs).
12-month award roadmap
Budget: $8K+ – dependent on number of projects / POVs needed
Timeline: Typically 6-8 weeks – dependent on both team availability for calls/brainstorms/revisions to develop and complete. Production schedule delivered upon understanding workload.
1-off competition support.
Perfect for when you’re thinking about entering a competition you’re unfamiliar with, and/or you just need to focus on your day job.
1-off Competitions:
First, you’ll send us your best work. Then we discuss your all-in budget and goals.
Once initiated, Brave Dog creates a “recommendations grid” for your approval that 1) highlights the work/categories with the best chance of winning, and 2) showcases all Brave Dog & 3rd Party Competition fees.
Once the grid is approved/locked by your team, Brave Dog begins write-ups for your review/edits. This can be collaborative process for newer clients/projects.
Once write-ups are approved, Brave Dog submits for entry, collects credits, QC, submits & tracks entries.
Fee Structure:
Brave Dog / 1-off Competition Management Fee: $3,500
If your team has completed a 12-Month Award Assessment or Case Study Consultation, The 1-off Competition Management Fee is discounted ($2,500).
Competition Management Fee Rates are subject to increase if there’s a significant # of projects to review/benchmark.
Brave Dog / Per Entry Fees: Priced by type
Simple Entry: $450/entry (ie: GEMA [fka: Promax], Webbys, Golden Trailers)
Complex Entry: $750/entry (ie: Shorty Awards, One Show, Clio, D&AD)
Case Study Entry: $2,500/entry (ie: Cannes)
Super Case Study Entry: $6,000/entry (ie: Effies or Reggies, “term paper”)

3rd Party Competition Fees (3PF): TBD
3rd party competition fees are showcased as part of the competition “recommendation grid.” Brave Dog has no control over these fees nor do we charge a pass-through fee. Your team can pay the competition fees directly or we can pay it on your behalf for reimbursement.
Looking for 1-off competition strategy only?
Our team can benchmark your work and deliver project/category recommendations for you to complete & submit internally (Starting at $2,500). Pricing dependent on # of projects to review/benchmark.
Handling ALL your award needs.
Best for team’s creating projects/submissions year-round.
Retainer:
Once we’ve received your most recent and best creative, we start by reverse-engineering a 12-month awards roadmap to fit your team’s goals and budget. Both teams share ownership of a shared Google Drive Folder which encompasses a “live” GoogleSheet to track our actual spend and wins during our engagement. It keeps us looking ahead, but also allows flexibility in adding new projects or shifting priorities by adding or removing competitions/categories as needed.
The Investment:
Clients who typically strive to submit to multiple competitions throughout the year, and/or have new projects going live each quarter, and/or have an all-in awards budget of 200K+ (Brave Dog + 3rd Party Competition Fees) find this scenario ideal.
*All pricing is NET-30 and subject to change due to timing, project needs, and demand.
