Brave Dog Assignment:

Assess the full range of video, print, and design work produced by Netflix’s in-house creative team and identify opportunities to win recognition for consistent excellence in creative marketing and design. 

Netflix Creative Studio Challenge:

Netflix Creative Studio is part of an entire constellation of Netflix creative teams, which includes external partners, agencies, and separate teams for Netflix theatricals and Netflix Original Series. In order to build the brand reputation of in-house Netflix Creative Studio, the team needed an affordable recognition plan hyper-focused on the best opportunities, while conserving budget for other initiatives. 

The Award Challenge:

Many of the marketing campaigns Netflix A+ theatrical and original series titles are created by external partners who enter separately. The Creative Studio team has a different pool of creative work that is largely clip driven and product (tune-in) focused.  The Brave Dog strategists need to carefully evaluate Creative Studio entries that can be competitive against much larger production budgets.

The Solution:

Within two years, Netflix Creative Studio has moved from very little recognition to becoming one of the most awarded production studios. A rigorous assessment of entry chances combined with highly targeted entry strategies has resulted in very strong finalist/win rates. Netflix Creative Studio is now showing up on the Winners lists for top entertainment marketing competition. That’s the benefit of targeted teamwork and an honest look at what has a real chance of winning.
